Clusters can help you with geographic distribution of Content Delivery instances. The following scenario shows two clusters of Content Delivery instances:

Be aware of the following:
Each cluster has its own dedicated session state provider.
Each cluster has its own dedicated Web database. This can either be achieved by publishing to multiple targets or by replication.
Each cluster must has its own dedicated Core database, When you set up a new cluster, you can copy the Core database from your existing cluster to get started.
Note
We do not recommend that you manage extranet users in multiple Core databases.
