Manually enable the xConnect Collection service

You can manually enable the xConnect Collection service on any other XP Service application role to create a combined role. For example, to combine the xConnect Collection service with the Reference Data service:

  1. Install the Reference Data service using a WDP from the XP Scaled packages.

  2. Manually enable the following configuration files by removing the .disabled suffix:

    FilePath
    sc.XConnect.Collection.Initialize.xmlApp_Data\Config\Sitecore\Collection\
    sc.XConnect.MarketingAutomation.Initialize.xmlApp_Data\Config\Sitecore\MarketingAutomation\

  3. Add any additional connection strings required by the xConnect Collection service.
