Subscribe to notifications

As a Sitecore Discover Customer Engagement Console (CEC) user, you can configure and manage your subscriptions for notifications. In the Global Resources section of the Customer Engagement Console (CEC), in Notifications, the main pane lists the subscribed notifications.

The following sections describe how you can subscribe and configure notifications.

Subscribe to notifications from all your domains

You can create default settings for notifications from all your domains quickly or on a granular level. Using the quick method, you are automatically subscribed to all notifications.

To quickly create default settings for notifications from all your domains:

  1. In the CEC, at the top right of any page, click your name or username.

  2. In the profile dialog box, to open the Account page, click My account.

  3. In the right pane, to edit notifications that are Default to All your Domains, click Edit.

  4. On the Notifications editor page, in the Preferences list of delivery modes, select a mode then in the displayed input field for the mode, enter an appropriate value.

  5. Click Save.

To make granular preferences for notifications from all your domains:

  1. In the CEC, at the top right of any page, click your name or username.

  2. In the profile dialog box, to open the Account page, click My account.

  3. In the right pane, to edit notifications that are Default to All your Domains, click Edit.

  4. To see the list of notifications grouped by notification types, turn on the Use advanced notification settings switch.

  5. To subscribe to a notification, select the delivery mode and provide an appropriate value for the mode.

    Note

    You do not have to configure all notifications. You receive only configured notifications.

  6. Click Save.

Subscribe to notifications from a specific domain

You can configure settings for notifications from a specific domain quickly or on a granular level.

To quickly create default settings for notifications from all your domains:

  1. In the CEC, at the top right of any page, click your name or username.

  2. In the profile dialog box, to open the Account page, click My account.

  3. In the right pane, to edit notifications for a specific domain, in the card for the domain, click Edit.

  4. On the Notifications editor page, turn on the Enable configuration switch.

  5. From the Preferences list of delivery modes, select a mode and enter an appropriate value in the displayed input field for the mode.

  6. Click Save.

To make granular preferences for notifications from all your domains:

  1. In the CEC, at the top right of any page, click your name or username.

  2. In the profile dialog box, to open the Account page, click My account.

  3. In the right pane, to edit notifications for a specific domain, in the card for the domain, click Edit.

  4. On the Notifications editor page, turn on the Enable configuration switch.

  5. For a list of notifications grouped by notification types, turn on the Use advanced notification settings switch.

  6. To subscribe to a notification, select the delivery mode and provide an appropriate value for the mode.

    Note

    You do not have to configure all notifications. You receive only configured notifications.

  7. Click Save.
