Delete identity rules
This topic describes how to delete the identity rules for your organization's tenant in Sitecore Personalize.
Team members with an Organization Admin or Organization Owner role in Sitecore Cloud Portal can delete identity rules.
The most common scenario for deleting identity rules is when you are creating them for the first time, and you want to reorder them, or if you add one in error. You typically delete identity rules before your organization starts sending IDENTITY events to Sitecore Personalize.
In rare circumstances, you can delete your organization's identity rules after your organization starts sending IDENTITY events to Sitecore Personalize. We recommend you consider this carefully, as your organization might have personalization configured that uses the current identity rules and would be affected if changed. We recommend you familiarize yourself with identity resolution before deleting identity rules.
To delete your organization's identity rules:

On the navigation menu, click
> Identity rules. -
Click
next to the identity rule you want to delete.WarningIf you delete all your organization's identity rules, Sitecore Personalize will not perform any identity resolution.

On the confirmation window, click Delete. The identity rule is deleted. You can add new identity rules, if required.
