Manage the access of a user
A user is anyone that is a part of the organization. A user's organization role and app roles determine the apps they can open and the work they can perform.
In the Sitecore Cloud Portal, a user with an Organization Admin or Organization Owner role can change the organization role and app roles of other users, or remove their access to the organization entirely.
- If you're a member of multiple organizations, make sure you've selected the organization containing the team members you want to manage.
Change the organization role of a user
A user's organization role determines if they can invite others to the organization, assign roles, and perform other admin tasks.
To change the organization role of a user:

In the Sitecore Cloud Portal, on the menu bar, click Admin.

On the Users page, for the user that you want to update access for, click the Actions menu
and then click View details. -
On the Details page, in the Organization access drop-down menu, click the level of access that you want this member to have.
Organization role Description Organization User - Only has access to the apps that an Organization Admin or an Organization Owner assigns to them.
- Can be assigned up to 25 apps.
Organization Admin - Can do almost everything related to access management and organization administration. They always have the highest app role in all apps in the organization.
Organization Owner - Has full power over the organization and can do everything related to access management and organization administration. They always have the highest app role in all apps in the organization.
- Only Organization Owners can assign and remove other Organization Owners.
NoteAn organization can have multiple Organization Owners.
Change the app role of a user
App roles determine which apps an Organization User can access and their role in each app. Each Sitecore product has a unique set of app roles. A user with an Organization Admin or Organization Owner role automatically has the highest role for all apps in the organization.
To change the app role of a user:

In the Sitecore Cloud Portal, on the menu bar, click Admin.

On the Users page, for the user that you want to update access for, click the Actions menu
and then click View details. -
On the Details page, in the App access list, locate the app that you want to change access for.

In the drop-down menu of the app, click the app role that you want this member to have.
Remove a user from the organization
Organization Owners and Organization Admins can remove a user's access to an organization, causing their organization role and app roles to be revoked.
To remove a user from the organization:
- In the Sitecore Cloud Portal, on the menu bar, click Admin.
- On the Users page, for the user that you want to remove, click the Actions menu and then click Remove access.
- In the Remove access dialog, click Remove.
