Translation in SitecoreAI

SitecoreAI provides AI-assisted translation to help you quickly localize marketing content across pages and entire sites. It supports different translation workflows depending on your needs:

  • Page translation - translate individual pages when you want to localize specific content, such as landing pages or campaign pages.

  • Site translation - translate all pages in a site to quickly create a localized version of your full experience.

  • Content item translation - translate a content item into one of the languages supported by the site for incremental changes.

  • Translation Assistant - use this prebuilt agent to review, refine, and adjust translations interactively within the Agentic studio.

How translation works

When translating a site or a page, SitecoreAI can apply guidance from your brand kit to ensure consistent and accurate results.

To enable this brand-aware translation, a brand kit must be assigned to the site. When assigned, the AI automatically applies relevant brand kit sections, such as Glossary and Localization and Do’s and Don’ts during translation.

The following brand kit sections guide how content is translated:

  • Glossary and Localization

Defines how to translate specific terms or whether to kept them unchanged. This is the primary and recommended way to control terminology across languages.

  • Do's and Don'ts

Provides guidance on tone, phrasing, and terminology when no glossary terms are defined in Glossary and Localization.

During translation, the AI follows this order:

  1. Uses the terms from the Glossary and Localization section when available.

  2. Falls back to the Do’s and Don’ts section if no glossary terms are defined.

  3. Uses general language understanding if neither is available or no brand kit is assigned to the site.
