Generate and filter reports

During the integration process with Sitecore Search, code blocks for event tracking are inserted into your website. The reports use a multi-touch attribution model to generate various attributed metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), which form the foundation of your report data.

At the top of report pages and sections there are various filters that you can use to control the data displayed. Changing a filter regenerates all reports on the page.

Note

New filter selections apply to all subsequent reports in the current session, and persist in future sessions until they are changed again.

The following filters are available for most reports:

  • Country - a list of countries.

  • Channel - a type of channel, such as Referral, Organic, Mail, CPC, Direct, Social, and Other.

  • Visitor type - a visitor type, such as New and Returning.

  • Date Range - a predefined range, such as Last 7 days, or a custom range.

  • Devices - a type of device, such as Desktop, Tablet, Mobile, and Bot.

  • App Type - a type of app, such as Web, Native, and Webview.

The buttons used to share, download, link, and save reports.

To generate and filter a report:

  1. In Sitecore Search, on the menu bar, click Analytics .

  2. In the left pane, click the report you want to view.

  3. At the top of the report or section, use the filters to narrow down the data you see. For example, you could focus on Product entity data for the past 30 days in the United States.

Tip

To revert to the default filter settings, in the top-right corner of the report page, click Restore Default.
