View the verification status of your website

To track events on your website, you must first add your website and then install website tracking to connect your website to Sitecore Send. After this connection is made, your tracking is automatically verified when the first event is received (for example, a user views a product, adds a product to cart, or purchases a product).

To view the verification status of your website:

On the menu bar, click More > Websites.
On the Websites page, you can now see the status of each website that is added for tracking: Verified or Unverified.

Note

If your website remains unverified, despite the fact that you sent an event, we recommend that you check the tracking code that you added to your website or if you are using a plugin of our platform, make sure that you added the correct website ID.

Once your website has been successfully verified and the first user is identified, a special mailing list will be automatically created in Sitecore Send. The list is generated as soon as a visitor is tracked using the “mootrack('identify', emailAddress);” function. The mailing list will be automatically named "Subscribers from http://yourwebsiteaddressURL" to reflect the source website and will include all future subscribers identified through your website.
