Managing roles in Sitecore Stream

In the Sitecore Cloud portal, users with an Organization Admin or Organization Owner role can manage team members and their access to the Sitecore Stream capabilities.

To add a team member in Sitecore Stream, an Organization Admin or Organization Owner must:

Team members with the Organization Admin or Organization Owner role automatically have the highest app role in Sitecore Stream. Team members with the Organization User role can be assigned one of the following app roles in Sitecore Stream: Admin, User, or Read-only.

Important

To update a team member's app role, an Organization Admin or Organization Owner must change their app access in the Sitecore Cloud Portal.

App roles and permissions

The following table describes the app roles and permissions available for team members in Sitecore Stream who are accessing brand kits, Brand Assistant, orchestration entities, and the Interactions dashboard.

For example, after adding a team member to Stream, an admin can assign them to a brand kit or add them as a member of a campaign.

  • View brand kits they have access to.

  • View references and source chunks of each section of brand kits they have access to.

  • View all brand kits they have access to through the brand kit switcher.

  • Receive a notification in Stream when added to a brand kit.

Brand Assistant

  • Start chats with all brand kits they have access to and ask any questions to the Brand Assistant.

  • View chats created by users of the same type.

  • Delete chats in the Brand Assistant.

  • Create artifacts and versions of artifacts in the Brand Assistant.

  • Give feedback to the chat.

Orchestration and campaign management

  • View campaigns, deliverables, and tasks as a team member.

  • Create deliverables as a team member.

  • View attachments as a team member.

  • Add comments to tasks as a team member. Tag campaign members in the comments.

  • View comments in tasks as a team member.

  • Update and delete comments they added themselves.

User

Brand kits

  • View brand kits they have access to.

  • View references and source chunks of each section of brand kits they have access to.

  • View all brand kits they have access to through the brand kit switcher.

  • Receive a notification in Stream when added to a brand kit.

  • Add a Read-only user to a specific brand kit.

  • Remove a Read-only user they have added from a specific brand kit.

  • Edit brand kits they have access to including updating the title, uploading or deleting source documents, and starting ingestion.

  • Edit sections in brand kits they have access to, including updating intent, and marking as verified or unverified.

Brand Assistant

  • Start chats with all brand kits they have access and ask any questions to the Brand Assistant.

  • View chats created by users of the same type.

  • Delete chats in the Brand Assistant.

  • Create artifacts and versions of artifacts in the Brand Assistant.

  • Give feedback to the chat.

Orchestration and campaign management

  • View and update campaigns as a team member.

  • Create, view, update, archive, and unarchive deliverables as a team member.

  • Create, view, update, archive, and unarchive tasks as a team member. Assign tasks to campaign members and users outside the campaign.

  • Create, view, update attachments as a team member, and delete attachments they added themselves.

  • Create, view, update, and delete comments in tasks. Tag campaign members and users outside the campaign in the comments.

  • Add or remove campaign members, but cannot remove admins.

Admin

Brand kits

  • Create, view, and delete all brand kits.

  • Edit brand kits including updating the title, uploading or deleting source documents, and starting ingestion.

  • Access all available brand kits through the brand kit switcher.

  • View references and source chunks of each brand kit section.

  • Edit sections in brand kits, including updating intent, and marking as verified or unverified.

  • Add a User or Read-only user to a specific brand kit.

  • Remove a a User or Read-only user from a specific brand kit.

Brand Assistant

  • Start chats with all available brand kits and ask any questions to the Assistant.

  • View chats created by users of the same type.

  • Delete chats in the Brand Assistant.

  • Create artifacts and versions of artifacts in the Brand Assistant.

  • Give feedback to the chat.

Orchestration and campaign management

  • Create, view, update, delete, archive, and unarchive campaigns.

  • Create, view, update, delete, archive, and unarchive deliverables.

  • Create, view, update, delete, archive, and unarchive tasks. Assign tasks to campaign members and users outside the campaign.

  • Create, view, update, and delete attachments.

  • Create, view, update, and delete comments in tasks. Tag campaign members and users outside the campaign in the comments.

  • Add or remove campaign members, approve or deny join requests.
