Data caching increases performance by storing copies of data accessed frequently from external systems in a high-performance subsystem. Sitecore caching works on top and extends other caching systems provided by IIS, ASP.NET, database servers, and by the internet infrastructure in general. To see the cache size report, go to <hostname>/sitecore/admin/cache.aspx or, on the Administration page, in the Diagnostics and Security section, click Cache.
