Update an installed app
The status of an installed custom or public app changes to Update required when the app developer enables or disables either of the following settings:

The standalone extension point or all the SitecoreAI extension points.
NoteYou don't need to update the app if extension points are changed within SitecoreAI.

API access.

Permissions.
To update an installed Marketplace app in your organization:

In the Cloud Portal, for the app you want to update, click My apps > Update.

In the Update installation options modal, depending on the app configuration:

If the app uses a SitecoreAI extension point or has access to SitecoreAI APIs, or both, in the App availability modal, select at least one environment where you want to update the app.

Review any permissions required by the app.

To confirm your choice, click Update.
