Configure output references for a connection in Sitecore Personalize

After you configure the request using a POST or PUT method, you can edit the label or disable the output references for the data system or analytical model. The output reference is the mechanism for sharing key-value pairs with other entities such as data systems or analytical models. Users who add the data system or analytical model to a decision model variant can select any enabled output references.

To edit the label or disable an output reference:

  1. On the Output Configuration screen, edit or review fields as shown in the following image:

    • Key - this displays the unique identifier of the output reference that is used in JSON-formatted key-value pairs. You cannot edit this field.

    • Label - this displays the label that the user sees when they select the output reference in a programmable or decision table. Type in the Label field to remove underscores or edit the label name. This is optional, you can use the default label.

    • Output Reference - this displays the output reference. You cannot edit this field.

    • Type - this displays the type of the output reference: string, object, array, number, or Boolean.

  2. To disable an output reference so that it is not available for a user to select when they add an output reference to a programmable or decision table, click the toggle switch next to the Type field. Sitecore Personalize enables all output references by default.

  3. Click Next. The Review & Save screen displays. You must continue to review and save the connection or none of the connection setup will be saved.
