Create a content item in Horizon

Current version: 10.0

You can create new content items in the Content application. All content items are based on templates that a developer has set up for you.

To create a content item:

  1. Open the Content application.

  2. In the left-hand pane, in the content tree, select the item (content item or folder) that you want to add the new item under, or select an item at the same level as the new item.

  3. Click the Actions menu The Actions menu icon for the selected item.

  4. Click Create item if you want to create the new item as a subitem to the selected item.

Click Create item on same level if you want the new item to be on the same level as the item.

  5. In the Create item panel, click the template that you want to use.

The item is created in the content tree.

  6. Edit the name of the new item in the content tree.

    Note

The name you enter when you create an item is the item name. By default, the display name is the same as the item name. You cannot use special characters in the item name, but you can give each language version of the item a different display name, and you can use special characters in the display name.

You can now edit the content item by adding text, images, and so on.
