Statuses of default Marketplace apps

The status of a default Marketplace app determines what changes you can make to it.

You can view the status of all default apps installed in your organization on the Cloud Portal ​My apps​​ page. The status can be any of the following:

• Installed - after Sitecore installs a default app for your organization or you install it manually using the public Marketplace, the app is listed on the ​My apps​ page. You must grant organization users ​app access​​ so they can start using the app in its extension points. In this state, you can also update the app's installation options or uninstall the app.
• Update required - if Sitecore changes certain app configuration, the app's status might change to Update required on the My apps page. In this case, you must update the app for the changes to take effect. You can also ​uninstall​​ the app.
• To be installed - if you uninstall a default app, you can reinstall it using the public Marketplace​​. If you reinstall an app, you need to grant organization users app access​​ again.
