Getting started with web experiences
Describes getting started with web experiences.
This topic describes how to get started building a web experience. We recommend that you complete these steps in the following order:
-
Create a web experience and add a variant using an out-of-the-box web template or custom code.
-
Apply any of the following options to the web experience:
-
Target a webpage to set the area of your website where you want the experience to run. You can also add JavaScript to determine the context in which the experience should execute.
-
Apply a condition to filter the visitors that see the experience based on real-time behavior.
-
Apply a segment to configure the experience to only run for a certain segment of guests.
-
Associate a decision model with your experience to recommend dynamic offers or content.
-
-
Compose an API response to apply further personalization using dynamic data.
-
Insert the web experience in your HTML by specifying in the JavaScript editor where in the Document Object Model (DOM) you want the content to display.
-
Preview the web experience in your organization's website.
-
Add a primary goal to the web experience. Sitecore Personalize uses the metrics of the primary goal to measure variant performance when determining a leading or winning variant.
-
Start the experience. After the experience runs for 24 hours, you can see how the variant is performing against the baseline target on the Performance dashboard.
