Invite users to your Sitecore Cloud Portal organization

When your Sitecore Cloud Portal organization has been set up, you can invite users and give them access to your organization's apps.

A user is anyone that is a part of the organization. A user's organization role and app roles determine the apps they can open and the work they can perform.

Note

To invite a user to an organization, you must have an Organization Admin or Organization Owner role. You can manage your pending or expired invitations on the Invitations page.

To invite users to your Sitecore Cloud Portal organization:

  1. Log in to the Sitecore Cloud Portal.

  2. If you are a member of multiple organizations, switch to the relevant organization.

  3. On the homepage, on the menu bar, click Admin.

  4. On the Users page, click Invite.

    Tip

    From the homepage, you can also start the invitation process by clicking Invite users in the Quick links list.

  5. In the Invite users dialog, in the Email addresses field, enter the email addresses of the users you want to invite.

    You can invite up to 100 members at a time. If entering multiple email addresses, separate them with a comma, a semicolon, or a space.

    Details required to invite new members to the current organization, including their email addresses, the organization role to assign them, and any app roles for Organization Users.
  6. In the Organization access drop-down list, click Admin, User, or Owner to assign the corresponding organization role to the invited users. To assign the Organization Owner role to new users, you must also be an Organization Owner.

  7. If you selected User, you can give the new users access to up to 25 apps:

    • For each app you want the users to have access to, click Add app and then, using the two new drop-down lists in the App access section, click the intended app and the app role you want the invitees to have.

    • If you want the new users to have access to an app that has not yet been deployed, you will need to individually update their access rights after it's deployed.

  8. Click Send.

    An email message is sent to each of the recipients, informing them they're invited to join your Sitecore Cloud Portal organization by either logging in for the first time or signing in with an existing account.

Note

Users who are already members of other organizations will see pending organization invitations when they log in to their account.
