Modify global defaults
All Sitecore Search widgets inherit from the global widget which is accessible at Global resources > Global widget.
In the Settings tab, you can modify which of the following feature options are available as default: facets, sorting, textual relevance, search ranking, personalization, and suggestion blocks.
The following procedure describes how you can modify textual relevance settings in the global widget.
Change textual relevance priorities
Prioritized attributes or attribute-analyzer pairs are displayed in a list, sorted by Weight in a descending order. Items with a higher value gets a higher priority.
A large difference between two values skews the algorithm towards the item with the higher value.
To change textual relevance priorities:

On the menu bar, click Global Resources > Global Widget > Global Widget Settings > Textual Relevance.

(Optional) If the Simple Mode button is displayed, click Simple Mode then reorder attributes by dragging attribute cards in the list.

To add attributes not used, drag and drop them in the list.

To remove an attribute, drag and drop them in the Exclude attributes list.
In the advanced mode, you can assign values for the weights of different attribute/analyzer combinations. In the basic mode, you can only use integers to do a simple ranking of attributes.

(Optional) If the Advanced Mode. button is displayed, click Advanced Mode then reorder items by updating their values for Weight.
To toggle between including or excluding an item, hover over the item then click

Click Save.

Click Publish.
