The Brief tool in the Brand Assistant enables marketers to quickly create clear, on-brand, and well-structured briefs with minimal effort. Simply describe what you need, and the Brand Assistant activates its built-in Brief agent to organize, refine, and structure the content through a guided thinking process.

Powered by AI, this feature transforms simple prompts into complete, structured briefs in seconds. It streamlines the briefing process, helping marketing teams address common challenges in traditional brief creation while ensuring brand alignment.

We prioritize data security. All interactions with the Brand Assistant follow our data privacy and security policies.

To generate a campaign brief:

  1. Log in to the Sitecore Cloud Portal and open the Stream app.

  2. In the Stream navigation menu, click Assistant.

  3. Select your brand kit. If you have multiple brand kits, ensure you choose the correct one for accurate results.

  4. Optionally, select information sources and choose its writing style to match your needs. These preferences enable you to configure how the Brand Assistant generates responses.

  5. To enable brief generation, you can either:

    • Click Tools and then select Brief. When enabled, Brief is displayed in the chat field.

    • Include the word brief to your prompt to trigger the brief generation workflow automatically without opening Tools.

  6. In the chat field, enter your prompt. Clear, detailed prompts help the Brand Assistant generate relevant answers. For example: Create a brief for a new kitchen product line for thanksgiving.

Prompts can be entered in any supported language.

Enter a clear, detailed prompt specifying that you want to create a brief.
  7. Optionally, to upload an image to provide the Brand Assistant with additional context, click Upload , navigate to where the file is saved, select it, and click Open. You can also drag an image file into the chat field. You can upload multiple files simultaneously.

Uploaded files remain visible in the chat for easy reference. Images appear as inline previews, and multiple files display side by side, making it simple to track and reuse them throughout the conversation.

    Note

The following image formats are supported: .jpg, .jpeg, or .png files up to 20 MB each (maximum 50 MB per chat).

  8. Click Submit .

After submitting your prompt, the Brand Assistant might take a few minutes to generate a response, especially if it's using multiple agents to complete the task.

Understanding the generated response

Note

The Brand Assistant strives for accuracy but it might occasionally generate incorrect responses. Always verify the information provided.

Each response generated by the Brand Assistant for creative brief requests includes the following elements:

The generated response includes a summary, an artifact, details of the thinking process, sources, and follow-up questions.
  1. Thinking - shows how the response was generated. Click to expand and view details of the agentic AI process, including where the information came from - like brand knowledge or web searches.

  2. Response - the generated response includes the following:

    • Left-hand pane - a concise, bulleted version of the brief, designed for quick reference and easy identification of key sections.

    • Right-hand pane - a fully developed, narrative-style campaign brief (artifact) that expands on the same information. You can view, copy, refine, or export the artifact as needed.

  3. Suggested follow-up questions - related questions or prompts you can use to continue the conversation or explore more topics.

  4. Sources - list of sources used to generate the content. This might include brand knowledge, web sources, or both.

Sections in an AI-generated brief

Each AI-generated brief includes the following standard sections:

  • Campaign Goals - high-level business objectives, such as revenue growth, market expansion, customer retention, or brand positioning.

  • Audiences - target demographics, interests, behaviors, and segments.

  • Objective - the campaign's main goal (such as increasing brand awareness, driving sales, or promoting a new product) and the strategies to achieve it.

  • Key Messages/Theme - the core messages and themes that communicate the brand’s value proposition, benefits, selling points.

  • Channel/Platforms - specific marketing channels like social media, email, paid ads, and influencer collaborations.

  • Metrics for Success - key performance indicators (KPIs), such as website traffic, social media engagement, lead generation, or sales conversions.

  • Timeline - the campaign schedule, including key milestones and review points.

  • Budget - breakdown of expenses across advertising, content creation, influencer partnerships, and other costs.

Refining the generated response

If the Brand Assistant's response isn't what you expected, try:

  • Rephrasing your prompt.

  • Adding more detail or context.

  • Clarifying your request.

Then, regenerate the response for better results.

Note

If the Brand Assistant isn’t generating accurate or on-brand content, it's often due to incomplete or inaccurate brand documents. See Troubleshooting for guidance.

When an artifact is created from a creative or campaign brief request, you can refine it by editing manually. In the right-hand pane, locate the text you want to change. Make edits inline, highlight, rewrite, or delete.

Edit the generated artifact directly in the right-hand pane.

After editing the artifact, the Brand Assistant automatically saves your changes in the current version.

Additionally, use the Version drop-down menu to:

  • Create a new version (for example, v2 and v3) by duplicating the version you are currently viewing.

  • Switch between versions to compare changes.
