The Content Explorer

Abstract

The Content Explorer lets you organize items without using the content tree.

The Content Explorer lets you organize items without the fixed hierarchy of the content tree. When your content tree gets very large, you can have difficulty locating items in the tree. By default, the Content Explorer shows a table that lists all the content items for the current site.

The Content Explorer in Horizon

Rather than navigate in the tree, you can use the Content Explorer to organize items in a variety of ways. For example, you can do the following in any combination:

  • Apply a query with one click to view items you created or edited within the last month.

  • Apply other filters to the list.

  • Search by item ID, URL, or other keywords.

  • Sort by any column in the table.

When you click the name of an item in the Content Explorer, the item opens and you can view or edit the fields on the item.
