Format rich text fields

When you add or edit content, you can format text and code in any rich text field. You can further enrich text by adding links to related content.

Tip

To make it easier, you can enlarge the rich text field by clicking the expand icon . Click it a second time to return the field to its original size.

Each rich text field includes the following formatting options.

Name	Shortcut	Description
Text style	N/A	Change the style of the selected text to either a paragraph or one of several heading levels.
Bold	CTRL + B	Turn bold formatting on or off. Add or remove bold formatting from the selected text.
Italic	CTRL + I	Turn italic formatting on or off. Add or remove italic formatting from the selected text.
Underline	CTRL + U	Turn underlining on or off. Add or remove underlining from the selected text.
Strikethrough	CTRL + X	Turn text strikethrough on or off. Add or remove strikethrough from the selected text.
Bulleted List	CTRL + SHIFT + 8	Convert the current text element into a bulleted list or convert an existing bulleted list item to a regular paragraph.
Numbered List	CTRL+SHIFT+7	Convert the current text element into a numbered list or convert an existing numbered list item to a regular paragraph.
Link	NA	Select the text you want to hyperlink and enter the URL.
Block quote	CTRL + Shift + 9	Insert a block quote.
Code block	CTRL + Alt + C	Insert a special text block used to display code samples. This block includes a drop-down menu for specifying the code language, and it automatically applies syntax highlighting based on the selected language.
Horizontal rule	N/A	Insert a horizontal line.
Table	N/A	Insert a table, which you can then modify as needed.
Code	CTRL + E	Format the selected text as code.
Generate with AI	N/A	Use the AI writer to generate, refine, and improve content.

Add, edit, or remove a link

You can add links to rich text, and you can edit or remove existing links as needed.

To add, edit, or remove a link:

In the rich text field, select the text to convert into a link, and then click Link .
In the Create link field, enter the URL you want the selected text to link to, and then click Save.
To edit a link, in the rich text field, click the link and then click Edit .
To remove a link, in the rich text field, click the link and then click Unlink .

Modify a table

When you add a table to a rich text field, it contains a default number of rows and columns, including a header row. You can add or change the text in any of the table cells by clicking in the cell and entering the new text.

You can modify the structure of the table by hovering your cursor over any non-header cell and clicking cheveron to open the context menu. Using this menu, you can:

Insert a row above or below the cell.
Insert a column to the left or right of the cell.
Delete the row or column.
Delete the entire table.

Note

The header row cannot be deleted.
