Working with reports
The Customer Engagement Console (CEC) lets you save your customized reports so that you can quickly access the data you require. It also provides ways to share reports with other key stakeholders, or set up a schedule to send reports by email.
Consider the following to make the most of your data analytics.
Saving dataset configuration and reports
You use filtering to drive the data and generate custom reports. The various filters are selectable from drop-down menus, and the filter values you select persist until you change them.
You can save a dataset as a customized report (for example, a report to which you have applied filters). Saving a report stores configuration settings for data filters and table columns. When you open a saved report, the data filters and configuration settings apply to generate the data set.
Sharing reports with all users
You can share reports with stakeholders in various ways. The method you chose to share the reports depend on whether the person you are sharing with has access to the CEC:
-
To share a report with another CEC user, you can copy and share the report URL.
-
To share a report with a stakeholder that does not have access to the CEC, you have the option to download the report as a PDF file, or to export it as a CSV file. You can then share the file using the method of your choice.
Sending reports using scheduled email messages
The CEC provides a scheduler that you can configure to share reports using email, with a defined set of recipients, on a regular basis. For example, you can send a report (with saved settings) at fixed intervals, on a specific day.
The email message contains a link to the report that any users with Discover credentials can view.
The reports are shared with all configured settings and data filters applied.
