Manage output columns in a decision table

Abstract

How to use offers as output in a decision table (Sitecore Personalize).

An important concept in Sitecore Personalize is the ability to use data returned by the offers knowledge source as an output into a decision table. The most common example is using an offer as output in a decision table.

For example, a decision model variant with a Determine Best Theme Park decision table calls out to an offer knowledge source for a list of available offers. The output of the Determine Best Theme Park decision table can be derived from the offers contained in the offer knowledge source.

To use an offer knowledge source as output in a decision table:

  1. Click and drag the Offers knowledge source from the palette to the decision canvas.

  2. Click and drag the Decision Table component from the palette to the decision canvas.

  3. Click on the Offers knowledge source arrow and drag it to the reliant decision table. A dashed line displays, known as an authority requirement, as shown in the following image:

  4. To use the required attributes from the offer knowledge source, configure the output column(s) in the reliant decision table.
