Assign a workflow to a template

The best way to assign a workflow to a template is through its __Standard Values definition item:

  1. Click the /sitecore/Templates/Sample/Sample template and then its __Standard Values definition item.

    Click the __Standard Values definition item of the Sample Item template.

  2. Click the View tab, the View group, and select the Standard Fields checkbox.

    Select the Standard Fields checkbox.

  3. Click the Workflow section, the Default workflow field, and select the Product Review workflow. Remember to save the changes.

    Select the Product Review workflow in the Default workflow field.

  4. Content items using the Sample template now adheres to the Product Review workflow.
