Creating users in SitecoreAI

SitecoreAI authentication and user creation is handled by the Sitecore Cloud Portal.

In the Sitecore Cloud Portal, you can assign the following app roles in your SitecoreAI app:

App role

Description

User

The User role has the same access rights as a Sitecore Client Content Reader by default.

You can assign additional security roles and access rights to their account.

Advanced User

The Advanced User role has the all access rights of a User, and can also create and manage Forms.

You can assign additional security roles and access rights to their account.

Admin

The Admin role always has the highest role in the SitecoreAI app.

You cannot delete this user or remove their administrator role through SitecoreAI. You must remove the team member or change their role from the Sitecore Cloud Portal.

When a team member accepts the invitation and logs in to the SitecoreAI app for the first time, the user is created automatically. Then an administrator can configure their access rights and security roles.

Note

If you want to preconfigure access rights and security roles for a user who hasn’t been granted access or hasn't accessed the SitecoreAI app:

  1. Create a new user in the User Manager and set both the User name and Email to an email address that you will use later.

  2. Assign rights and roles to the user.

When a Sitecore Cloud Portal user with the email address that matches the User name gets access to the SitecoreAI app, they will have those access rights and roles assigned automatically.
