Add a rendering to a page in Horizon

Version:

You can add a rendering to a page in the Horizon editor. Depending on the configuration of the page, there are different positions where you can insert a rendering:

  • In an empty placeholder

  • Before or after a rendering that is already on the page

To add a rendering to a page:

  1. Open the page in the page editor.

  2. Below the content tree, click Add to page.

The Add to page panel displays the renderings that are compatible with the placeholders on the page.

  3. Select the rendering that you want to add to the page, and drag it to the place on the page where you want to add it.

As you drag the rendering, the cursor changes to a “prohibited” icon to indicate that you cannot add the rendering in the current position.

The cursor indicating the rendering is prohibited

When you drag the rendering to a compatible placeholder, the cursor returns to normal.

The arrow cursor indicating the rendering is allowed

If you drag the rendering to a position where you can insert the rendering above or below a rendering that is already on the page, a blue tab with an arrow appears.
