Assign a content item to a rendering in Horizon

Version:

When you add a rendering to a page, the rendering presents data that is saved locally for the page item. You can assign a content item to the rendering. Then changes you make to the content are saved to the content item, and the content can be shared between different pages.

You can also use this procedure to assign a different content item to a rendering that already has a content item assigned to it.

To assign a content item to a rendering:

  1. Open the page in the page editor, and select the rendering that you want to assign a content item to.

  2. In the right-hand pane, click Browse.

  3. In the Assign content item dialog box, select the relevant content item and click Assign.

Note

You cannot assign a content item to a non-editable rendering, or change the content item associated with a non-editable rendering.
