This topic describes how to create a hyperlink in a rich text field in Horizon to an external website. After you create a hyperlink, you can edit the hyperlink, or you can remove the hyperlink without removing the text.

To create a link in a rich text field:
- Select the text that you want to format as a link.
- In the rich text editor panel, click the Create or edit hyperlink icon

- In the link panel, in the Path field, enter the URL of the webpage you want to link to.
- In the Target field, specify how you want the link to open in a browser. For example, specify that you want the link to open in a new tab or window.
- In the Alternative text field, enter the text that will appear when a visitor hovers the cursor over the link.
- To test the URL, click Test URL.
- Click Close
to close the Link details panel.

To edit a link in a rich text field:
- Select the text that is formatted as a link.
- In the rich text editor panel, click the Create or edit hyperlink icon
- To edit the link properties, edit the fields in the Link details panel.
- To remove the link without removing the text that is formatted as a link, click Remove link.
- Click Close
to close the Link details panel.
