Guest data
When segmenting by a guest or browsing guest data, you first choose the guest type (subgroup), then specific fields for that type.
Guest types can include the following. Your organization might have additional types:
-
Customer - a guest that has provided enough identity information according to your organization's identity rules.
-
Visitor - a guest who has not provided enough identity information or has provided partial identity information but not enough to meet the organization's identity rules.
-
Retired - a guest profile that is archived because it contained data that was migrated to another guest profile.
After choosing the subgroup, you choose the guest fields you want to use to build a segment or browse data. The guest fields that display depend on the guest attributes your organization sends to Sitecore CDP using the Stream API or for offline processing, using the Batch API. This can include core fields as well as additional guest data that is ingested offline by Sitecore CDP using the Batch API. This enables you to pass additional guest data to Sitecore CDP and segment by that data or view its details.
The following table includes some of the attributes that are available for use in guest-based segmentation or the data browser feature. The available fields depend on the type of guest selected. In addition, your organization might have additional fields.
