View guest properties in Sitecore CDP

Sitecore CDP lets you view additional properties for a guest, from basic personal details to data extensions and session traits that are specific to your organization.

To view a guest's properties in CDP:

  1. Search for the guest.

  2. On the Guest Profile page, click the Properties tab to view available guest information on the Properties page. Details such as name, type, location, email address, and other guest properties are displayed if available. If your organization does not capture personally identifiable information (PII), any properties that contain this type of information will remain empty and hidden.

The Properties page includes additional guest details, session traits, profile traits, and any data extensions.

The Properties page consists of several sections, namely Basic information, Contact information, Identifiers, Other details, Session Traits, Profile Traits, and Additional information.

Additional information

This section displays any data extensions associated with the guest. These are optional, but they enable your organization to capture more robust information about your guests. For example, your organization might create a data extension named ext to record guests' loyalty program details, or another one named ext1 to capture data from a customer relationship management (CRM) system.

This section can display information from up to six data extensions for each guest. Each data extension is represented by a group named after the extension itself. For example, the ext data extension appears in Data extension group, the ext1 data extension appears in Data extension group 1, and so on.

The Additional information section displays any data extensions associated with the guest.

Each data extension group includes a list of all the guest-specific fields associated with it. For example, the ext data extension for loyalty program details might include the guest's loyalty membership number, loyalty tier, reward balance, and so on. Each data extension group can contain a maximum of 100 fields, and only displays the first four by default. To display all fields for a particular data extension group, click the Show all link underneath it.

Sitecore CDP records a timestamp for each data extension group, indicating when it was created or last modified. To display more details about a data extension, click Information in the upper-right corner of the data extension's group. This displays a pane containing the data extension's name, key, auto-generated reference, and the date and time it was created in Sitecore CDP.

To expand or collapse any data extension group, click the arrow .
