Create a custom Marketplace app

Before you begin
  • You must be an Organization Admin or Organization Owner in your Sitecore Cloud Portal organization.

Creating a custom Marketplace application is how you can extend SitecoreAI for one or selected organizations, and it involves the following steps:

  1. Register - create the app in App studio in the Cloud Portal.

  2. Configure and activate - apply the settings required to install the app.

  3. Install - install the app in your organization.

  4. Build - develop the app using the Marketplace SDK.

  5. Finish configuration - after development, finalize the app settings.

After finishing configuration, organization team members with app access can find and start using your app. You can still configure the app or update its installation options. You can also set up testing and debugging, or uninstall and delete the app.

Note

If you change the extension points, API access, or the permissions of an installed app, depending on the changes, you might need to update the app.
