Adding components to a page
After you have created a page from a page template and optionally structured it with with rows and columns containers, you can start adding components.
In the page builder Editor mode, on the Components tab, you can access built-in components that are used as building blocks for your page's layout. These components have multiple origins:
-
Most of the components have been built in the Content editor, usually by a developer. They are sometimes called renderings or SXA components.
-
Some have been built in Forms. You can learn more about forms here.
-
Some have been prototyped in the Components app, usually by a designer, or have been registered by a developer to be available in the Page builder. You can learn how to configure and style them in the Components documentation.
While you are editing a page, you can switch between different screen sizes to see what the page looks like on different devices.
