Configure insert options for a template
Insert options for a page template limit the type of page templates that you can insert under existing pages. For example, you can set the Blog page template to be the child of the Landing page template, and the parent of none. The insert rules help you enforce an information architecture that improves consistency in your website design.
Page templates are created at the site level. However, insert options are valid at the site collection level. This means for a data template shared by several websites, the rules that are defined on one site apply to all the sites of the collection where this page template is available.
Similarly, if you change the insert rule for a data template on a specific site, the new rules will apply to the page templates on all other sites of the collection.
To configure the insert options of a data template:

In the Page builder Templates mode, in the Data templates table, in the Insert options column, click

In the Set template insert options dialog, on the Parent of tab, select the templates that can be created under the current page template.

On the Child of tab, select the templates under which the current page template will be available.

Click Save.
Configure insert options for an existing page
When you add a page to your website, you do so by choosing a data templates that might have some insert options predefined, or alternatively no insert options at all. You can add or modify the insert options after the page was created. In this case, the insert options apply only to that page.
To add or modify the insert options of an existing page:

In the Page builder Editor mode, on the Pages tab, click
> Settings for the page that you want to configure the insert options for. -
In the Page settings dialog, find the Insert options section to get the follwoing details:

To change the page insert options, select the check boxes for the templates you want this page to be a parent of.
To restore the page insert options to the ones initially set by the template, click Restore.
