Work with batch uploads

On the Batch uploads page you can view and monitor the status of batch uploads that you create using the Batch API. You can use this as an alternative to retrieving the status by making a GET request.

The Batch uploads page lists all batches uploaded to your instance of Sitecore CDP in the past 30 days. For a batch to display here, you must first make the PUT request that allocates a batch upload location.

On this page, you can search, sort, and filter the list of uploads to find the one you're interested in. You can also view the details of each upload, including when it was created and last modified, and the total number of uploaded JSON records. For uploads with errors, you can also download the error log, which helps you identify the JSON records that need your attention before attempting another upload.

View the status of a batch upload

To view the status of a specific batch upload:

  1. On the navigation menu, click Developer center > Batch uploads and then locate the upload you want to work with.

  2. In the Status column, you can view the status of the upload:

    • Uploading - the batch reference is saved and the gzipped file can now be uploaded. The batch stays in this status until the file is fully uploaded. After receiving the file, Sitecore CDP validates it and changes the status to file_uploaded.

    • File uploaded - Sitecore CDP received the gzipped file, and the file is now in the processing queue.

    • Processing - Sitecore CDP is processing the gzipped file.

    • Success - Sitecore CDP successfully processed all JSON records in the gzipped file. You can now verify that CDP ingested the uploaded data.

    • Corrupted - the MD5 checksum or the size of the gzipped file does not match the values provided by the developer.

    • Error - Sitecore CDP did not process at least one JSON record in the gzipped file. You can download the error log to troubleshoot the issue.

View the details of a batch upload

To view the details of a specific batch upload:

  2. In the table rows that appear, you can view the details of the batch upload:

    • Time to process (ms) - the time in milliseconds it took Sitecore CDP to process the upload.

    • Total count - the number of JSON records included in the upload.

    • Succeeded count - the number of JSON records Sitecore CDP successfully processed.

    • Failed count - the number of JSON records Sitecore CDP did not process.

    • Log - for uploads where Sitecore CDP did not process at least one JSON record, the link to the error log.
