The campaign object

A campaign object is an object that represents advertising campaign information. It is located within the context object.

utm_source

Optional.

Paid campaign source identifier. Identify the advertiser, site, publication, and so on that is sending traffic to your property.

Example values: "google", "newsletter4", "billboard"

utm_campaign

string

Optional.

Paid campaign identifier. The individual campaign name, slogan, promo code, and so on for a product. 

Example values: summer-sale

utm_medium

string

Optional.

Paid campaign medium identifier. The advertising or marketing medium. 

Example values: "cpc", "banner", "email newsletter".

utm_content

string

Optional.

Paid campaign content identifier. Used to differentiate similar content or links within the same ad. For example, if you have two call-to-action links within the same email message, you can use utm_content and set different values for each so you can tell which version is more effective.

Example values: "Learn more", "Shop now"

utm_term

string

Optional.

Paid campaign term. Identify paid search keywords. If you are manually tagging paid keyword campaigns, you must also use utm_term to specify the keyword.

Example value: "summer sale"
