Adding components to a page
After you have created a page from a page template and optionally structured it with with rows and columns containers, you can start adding components.
In Page builder Editor mode, on the Components tab, you can access built-in components that are used as building blocks for your page's layout. These components have multiple origins:
- Most of the components have been built in the Content editor, usually by a developer. They are sometimes called renderings or SXA components.
- Some have been built in Forms. You can learn more about forms here.
- Some have been prototyped in the Components app, usually by a designer, or have been registered by a developer to be available in the Page builder. You can learn how to prototype and style them in the Components documentation.
While you are editing a page, you can switch between different screen sizes to see what the page looks like on different devices.
