Exif data on media items

Media items in the Content Editor include fields that support the Exchangeable image file format (Exif) standard.

A media file can contain information that links this file to a specific geographical location. Sitecore stores this type of information in the Location section of a Sitecore media item.

The template for JPEG image items contains an Exif section with additional metadata fields specific to JPEG images.

Sitecore updates the fields automatically when you upload any media item that contains Exif metadata to Sitecore.
