Profiles
To use the full potential of profiles, we strongly recommend your organization sets up identity resolution and affinities first. Identity resolution recognizes and links fragmented site visitor interactions into unified profiles that contain rich data. Without identity resolution, profiles remain fragmented and can potentially contain less actionable data.
Profile data availability largely depends on how much is captured in events such as VIEW and IDENTITY events.
SitecoreAI automatically creates a profile for every site visitor as they interact with your brand. Every identified profile contains contact information, behavioral data, and a timeline of profile engagement. The data stored in a profile helps better understand your audience, turning information into useful, actionable insights.
Profile data answers questions about the site visitor such as:
-
"How many times have they visited in the last 30 days?"
-
"What pages did they view in their most recent session?"
-
"Are they engaging more on desktop or mobile devices?"
Profile data is especially useful to marketing analysts, administrators, and data analysts, helping them make informed decisions about campaigns, strategies, and personalization:
-
Customer interaction analysis - understand how and why a specific user engaged with particular experiences, what motivated their responses, and what factors contributed to positive outcomes. Use these insights to tailor and optimize future personalized experiences for each individual.
-
Strategy validation - investigate customer journeys that lead to conversions. Validate or challenge assumptions about behavior by looking up the site visitor's history with your brand.
-
Data-driven personalization - base every personalization decision on actual customer profile data. Use segment memberships and predictive traits to inform targeted messaging.
