Work with multiple form pages

Within a single form, you can create up to ten pages. Adding more pages lets you add more content to your form and gather more information from your audience. It also lets you use logic in your form.

When you add a new page, it will be a duplicate of the previous page, including any field and basic items you've added. However, for field items, a field placeholder is added and you can choose which type of field item you want on the new page. If you don't set the field type, the placeholder field will not be displayed on the final form.

Styling applied to a page is duplicated to the new page. However, you can change the styling and add or edit items on any page, anytime.

When you add multiple pages to a form, the following buttons must be placed on specific locations:

Action button - is automatically added when you add the first item to the layout on the first page. You can change the styling or delete an action button at any time, although each page of the form must have an action button for a form to be activated. When you add a new page, and the page you add it from already has an action button, the new page will also have an action button. You must ensure that the first page of your form have a Next button. Similarly, the middle pages must have Back and Next buttons, and the last page ideally has a Back and Submit button.

Automatically added Next, Back and Submit buttons.

reCAPTCHA - can only be added on the last page of your form. If you've added a reCAPTCHA button on any other page than the last, you will see an error . If you add a new page after a page that already has a reCAPTCHA button, the button on the new page will become a field placeholder. Delete the reCAPTCHA button on the previous place and add it to the last page.

GDPR - can only be added on the last page.

Add another page

You can add a new page to a form. The Add page button appears when you’ve added a layout to the first page.

To add a page to a form:

  1. In the Forms editor, at the bottom of the editing area, click Add page.

  2. The new page will be a duplicate of the previous page. You can now start designing the page.

  3. If the original page contained field or custom items, these will become field placeholders on the new page:

    • Click the field placeholder and then, in the right-hand Field Placeholder pane that appears, click the field type you want it to be.

    • The right-hand pane changes to display the field settings. Use the editing options to style the field.

  4. When you have finished designing, save your form.

For every page you add, the page number and the total number of pages in the form are automatically added.

When you're happy with your form, you can activate it.

Move or delete a page on a multipage form

To delete an item:

  • In the editing area, click the item you want to delete, then in the Actions menu, click .

If you've deleted all items on a page, click one of the layouts shown on the page to apply it. Then, add the items you want.

View form and page notifications

If there are any issues with your form, you will see a notification in the top right-hand corner of your form page. To view all notifications for your form, at the top of your form editing area, click the notification .

On the page on which the issue exists, a notification will be displayed.

A notification will be displayed if:

  • The last page of the form is missing a reCAPTCHA button.

  • A page is missing an action button, or if you try to add a second action button to a page.

    Note

To activate a form, each page must have one action button.

To fix an issue:

  • Click the link in the notification. You will be redirected to the page that has the issue.
