This topic describes the API Access tab on the Developer Resources page of Sitecore Discover Customer Engagement Console (CEC). The tab contains information about your account and API endpoints.
On the API Access tab, you can see the following sections:
Customer Key
Discover assigns a customer key to every client. When required, the user must supply the customer key with an API request. Your chosen integration method describes requirement and use.
Beacon
A beacon is a line of JavaScript code you add to the header of webpages in some methods to integrate them with Discover. Your chosen integration method describes requirement and use.
API Hosts
This section lists the following Discover endpoints used to query or post data. Refer to your chosen integration method for details on their use. The list includes endpoints for:
Server
Authentication
Search and Recommendation
Events
Hosted Pages
Incremental Feed
API Keys
The Discover API key is a unique and secure 52-character secret code that you get from your Discover account manager when you first register. Refer to your chosen integration method for requirement and use.
CDN Configuration for Hosted Pages
Hosted pages are pages that are hosted at and served by Discover. You must configure your CDN/reverse proxy to pass URL requests through to the Discover web service. The resources in this section include:
