Create a public Marketplace app

Before you begin
  • You must be an Organization Admin or Organization Owner in your Sitecore Cloud Portal organization.

Creating a public Marketplace application is how you can extend SitecoreAI for all organizations, and it involves the following steps:

  1. Register - create the app in App studio in the Cloud Portal.

  2. Configure - apply the settings required to install the app for local development.

  3. Install - install the app in your organization so you can start local development.

  4. Build - develop the app using the Marketplace SDK and test your app.

  5. Prepare to submit - ensure your app is ready for distribution and meets security and compliance requirements.

  6. Finish configuration - finalize the app details, and then submit your app for approval.

  7. Publish your app - after Sitecore approves your app, make it available in the public Marketplace.

After publishing, all Sitecore organizations can discover and install your app, and then start using it. You can continue developing your app without re-submitting it for approval.

Note

If you change the extension points, API access, or the permissions of a published app, depending on the changes, organizations that installed the app before these changes might need to update the app.
