Register a public app

The first step to creating a public Marketplace app is to register it in the Sitecore Cloud Portal.

To register a new public app:

  1. Log in to the Cloud Portal.

  2. On the navigation header, click App studio > Studio > Create app.

  3. In the Create app modal, in the App name field, enter a descriptive name for your application.

    The maximum length for the app name is 50 characters. You can change the name later, during configuration.

  4. Select Public as the type of your app.

    Warning

    This selection is permanent and cannot be changed later.

  5. Click Create. A new app is registered and ready to be configured.

Next, configure the app.
