Configure an input column that uses a data source
This topic describes how to configure an input column that uses data from an analytical model, data system, or other decision as input.
Before you configure the input column, you must connect the source that contains the output you want to use, to the reliant decision table on the decision canvas. Then, when you configure the input column of the reliant decision table, you click the data source and input data, as described in this procedure.
If you want to configure an input column to use data that is stored in an array, you must use a programmable decision to extract the data. Then you can connect the programmable decision to the decision table, or other decision.
To configure an input column that uses data from another source:
-
On the Decision Table tab, in the Input column, click Add Input Column.
-
Click the name of the data source. The window refreshes to display available inputs for the selected data source, such as the following:
-
Attributes from a programmable decision
-
Attributes from a data system
-
Attributes from an AI model
-
Attributes made available from another decision table
-
Guest data that is not stored in an array. This includes behavioral, transactional, and other data derived from the guest.
WarningOn the decision canvas, you must connect the component to the reliant decision table in order for the data source to display for selection in the Add Column window.
-
-
Click the input you want to use for the input column.
-
In the Name of Column field, enter the name of the column that will display in the table.
-
Click Add. You return to the Decision Table tab.
