1. Understanding signals

Manage a signal

The Signals page provides up to three AI-generated signals each day based on your preferences.

You can review and explore these signals on the Signals page, and take action on them from the Agentic studio Overview page.

This topic describes how to:

Before you begin

Make sure you've set your Signals preferences so the AI can generate signals relevant to your interests.

View a signal

You can open a signal to explore the AI-generated insights in detail, including key trends, strategic relevance, and supporting sources.

Tip

If the generated signals do not align with your needs, update your Signals preferences to refine the topic, industry, or prompt.

To view a signal:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Agentic. Then, in the left sidebar, select Signals.

  2. On the Signals page, click a generated signal.

  3. The signal details page displays research insights based on your preferences. Each signal can include:

    • Title - a short headline that captures the core insight.

    • Summary - a concise statement highlighting the key message.

    • Overview - a high-level explanation of the data point or market trend.

    • Importance - explains the strategic or business relevance of the signal.

    • Detailed Insights - supporting evidence and data that provide deeper context.

Take action on a signal

You can turn a signal into an AI-generated action plan from the Agentic studio Overview page.

To take action on a signal:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Agentic. Then, in the left sidebar, select Overview.

  2. In the Latest Signals section, click a signal to open it.

  3. Review the signal details.

  4. Click Action Signal.

    Note

The Action Signal button is available only when you open a signal from the Overview page, not from the Signals page.

From the Overview page, open a signal to take action on it.
  5. The signal opens in the Chat page where AI performs a multi-layered analysis of the signal. The generated response:

    • Identifies the topic and intent of the signal.

    • Extracts the most important insights and trends.

    • Connects the signal to relevant SitecoreAI capabilities.

    • Recommends clear next steps and actions.

  6. After reviewing the response, you can continue working in the same thread using the standard Chat interface options. You can enter a new prompt, add context, attach files, use voice input, select the type of AI processing, and choose an agent or flow to build on the response.

    Example

Select an agent to expand on the AI's response and generate related content in the same conversation. For example, use Brief Generator to create a brief based on the recommended next steps.

To return to this conversation later, click Chat in the left sidebar, then select the conversation from the History pane.

Interact with a signal in chat

You can chat directly with a signal through its associated source chat. This enables you to continue the conversation with AI to explore, refine, or reuse the signal in new workflows using additional prompts, contexts, or agents.

To interact with a signal:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Agentic. Then, in the left sidebar, select Overview.

  2. In the Latest Signals section, click a signal to open it.

    Note

The Open Full Chat button is available only when you open a signal from the Overview page, not from the Signals page.

The Chat page displays all signals generated that day.

  4. In the chat interface, you can access the standard Chat interface options. You can enter a new prompt, add context, attach files, use voice input, select the type of AI processing, and choose an agent or flow to build on the response.

    Example

Select an agent to expand on a signal and generate related content in the same conversation. For example, select the Blog Writer agent and click Context to reuse one of the signals to create the content.
