Create content for a web experience using a web template

Abstract

Details how to create content for a web experience using a web template.

Sitecore Personalize provides you with several templates you can use to create a variant for a web experience. You do not have to use these templates, but they can help you to get started quickly without having to use much or any code.

To create content for a web experience using a web template:

  1. On the Build screen, click Create variant. A pane displays a list of web templates, customized for your organization.

  2. Click the name of the Web Template you want to use. Some web templates are configured to display a form for you to complete.

  3. Complete any or all of the fields on the form, if applicable. Some web templates are designed to render a preview of the experience as you complete the form, as shown in the following image:

  4. Click Save.

  5. Click to return to the Build screen.

Note

Some web templates are configured with JavaScript to capture when a guest performs a specific action. For example, you might add a web template which results in a pop-up window prompting the guest to submit their email address to sign-up for a newsletter. The web template can capture whether the guest submitted their email address through a custom event.
