Delete a decision template

Abstract

How to delete a decision template when you are certain that no other users need it (Sitecore Personalize).

You can delete a decision template when you are certain that no other users need it. If in doubt, change the status from Published to Draft so that the decision template is no longer available on the decision palette but is not deleted. The decision template can be published again if needed.

If your organization is using Sitecore Cloud Portal, team members with a User, Developer, or Admin role in Cloud Portal can delete a decision template.

If your organization is not using Sitecore Cloud Portal, you must have an Enterprise Designer role to delete a decision template.

To delete a decision template:

  1. Ensure that the decision template has a status of Draft, not Published. In the decision template, in the top-right corner, click the toggle switch to put the template in the draft state.

  2. In the decision template, click the vertical ellipsis on the menu bar and click Delete Template. A confirmation window displays.

The vertical ellipsis button on the menu bar.
  3. Click Delete. The decision template is deleted.
