Edit a headless experience

Important

Feature availability is part of a phased rollout. Your organization may not see this functionality yet. It will become available when your environment is included in the rollout.

You can edit a headless personalization or A/B/n test while it is in Draft status. If a live experience must be changed, pause it first according to your product workflow.

You can update the experience name, description, tags, channels, and other configuration, but the friendly ID is fixed after creation.

To edit a headless experience:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Optimization.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Tests & personalizations.

  3. Select Headless.

  4. Select the headless personalization or A/B/n test you want to edit.

    The Configuration page opens.

  5. To change the name, click the current name, enter a new name, and then click the check icon or press Enter.

    Note

Changing the name does not change the Friendly ID generated when the headless experience was created.

  6. In Overview, optionally edit the following:

    • Description - enter a description of the headless experience up to 3,000 characters.

Use it to record why the experience exists and what you expect it to do. For A/B/n tests, use it to add the hypothesis because there is no separate hypothesis field.

    • Tags- add tags to help categorize or label the headless experience.

    • Channels - add or change the channels the headless experience targets, such as web, email, SMS, push, mobile app, mobile web, or call center.

  7. To edit the API response for a personalization or A/B/n test variant, click the open icon next to the response, make your changes in the code editor, and save them.

  8. Edit any other available configurations as needed. Depending on the experience type, you can update settings in sections such as:
