Troubleshoot an empty headless response

Important

Feature availability is part of a phased rollout. Your organization may not see this functionality yet. It will become available when your environment is included in the rollout.

A headless experience can return no response if the experience is not Live, the visitor does not qualify, the response code cannot run, or the request is missing required information.

Check the following:

CheckWhereWhat to verify
Experience statusHeadless experienceMake sure the experience is Live. Draft and Scheduled experiences do not return responses.
ConditionsConfiguration pageMake sure the visitor meets the configured conditions. If needed, test without conditions to rule out an eligibility issue.
API response codeConfiguration > API responseMake sure the JavaScript handles missing profile values. Use Preview API to test with an anonymous visitor.
RequestPreview API > TestCheck values such as channel, clientKey, and other context the experience depends on. Check the Integration guide to make sure the required values are included.
Returned responsePreview API > ResponseRun the test and check whether SitecoreAI returns the expected object for the visitor and request.

If SitecoreAI still returns no response, your application should display its default content.
