Get started with a headless A/B/n test

Important

Feature availability is part of a phased rollout. Your organization may not see this functionality yet. It will become available when your environment is included in the rollout.

Use a headless A/B/n test when you want to compare multiple variants and measure which performs better. An A/B/n test is a headless experience with 2 to 6 variants.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Create a headless A/B/n test. Configure the control variant and add the variants you want to test.

  2. Assign traffic to the variants and configure the required sample size. You can also edit advanced options or set automated actions.

  3. Optionally, add a condition to control which visitors qualify for the A/B/n test.

  4. Add a goal to measure test performance.

  5. Edit the details to add a description, tags, and channels.

  6. Use Preview API to test the API response before launch and verify the returned variant and response.

  7. Publish the A/B/n test now or schedule it for later.

  8. Run the A/B/n test from your application and use the returned data to render the assigned variant.

  9. Monitor the test in Operational data and Performance analytics. Interpret the results after the required sample size has been reached.
