Run an agent
Agents can help you you complete marketing tasks quickly and efficiently, such as generating content, conducting research, or translating copy. You can run a single agent on demand for focused tasks. If your task involves multiple steps or coordination between agents, consider using an agentic flow instead.
Each time you run an agent, a space is created automatically to track progress and store results.

Make sure you know what you want to achieve. A clear objective helps you choose the right agent and get better results.

Make sure the agent is configured for your needs. See Before you start using agents.
You can run an agent in three ways:
Run an agent from the Agents page
To run an agent from the Agents page:

In the navigation menu, click Agentic. Then, in the left sidebar, select Agents.

On the Agents page, select the agent you want to run.

In the dialog, enter a Space Title for the run.
In the Agents section, the selected agent is added by default. You can replace it, add more agents, or remove agents as needed.

Provide the required input.

If applicable to the selected agent, choose the Parameters for generating artifact variations (for example, select target languages for the Translator agent).

Optionally, provide the following:

Items - use items as the inputs the agent will act on. The agent processes each item to generate outputs. Click Add items to include:

CMS - select content item from a SitecoreAI site or collection.

Artifacts - use artifacts previously generated in any space.
-
Briefs - select a brief created in the Strategy app.
-
Other - import a CSV file and select all or part of its data.

Context - use context as background information that guides how the agent generates results. Click Add context to include:

Artifacts - use any artifacts previously generated in the current space.

Brand kits - select your organization's brand kit.
-

Supporting files - click Browse to upload supported files related to your request.

Click Create.

The new space created for the run opens. Click Run to start the agent.
TipProcessing might take some time. You can leave the page and return to the space at any time to track progress.
When processing is complete, the results appear in the space.

Run an agent from the chat interface
To run an agent from the chat interface:

In the navigation menu, click Agentic. Then, in the left sidebar, select Overview or Chat.

On the chat interface, click Select Agent and choose the agent you want to run.

Enter a prompt.

If applicable to the selected agent, choose the Parameters for generating artifact variations (for example, select target languages for the Translator agent).

Optionally, add more information to guide the agent:

Click Context
to include sources such as artifacts or your organization’s brand kit. -
Click
Items to include sites, collections, artifacts, briefs, or CSV files. -
Click Attach files
to upload files related to your request.

Press Cmd + Enter (Mac) or Ctrl + Enter (Windows) to submit the request.
TipProcessing might take some time. You can leave the page and return to the space at any time to track progress.
The agent processes your request in the space. When processing is complete, the results appear there.

Click Go to space to view the results space.

Run an agent from anywhere in SitecoreAI
To run an agent from anywhere in SitecoreAI:

Click AI chat
in the upper-right corner. -
In the chat drawer, open the Run agents tab and select the agent you want to run.

Provide the required input.

If applicable to the selected agent, choose the Parameters for generating artifact variations (for example, select target languages for the Translator agent).

Optionally, add more information to guide the agent:

Click Add Items to include sites, collections, artifacts, briefs, or CSV files.
