Report types and analysis

On the Analytics page in Sitecore Search, you can access various reports about your implementation. Each report dashboard contains reports on a keyword, page, widget, or component.

Note

The Site Performance report is the home page of Sitecore Search, accessible by clicking Site Performance on the menu bar.

You can refine what you see in a report using the filters at the top of the section or parent report. When you modify filters, the report is regenerated.

Comparative metrics report

On most report dashboards, there is a comparative metrics report before the other reports. This report displays the current metrics and line charts for up to two metrics over a specific time period. What you see is based on the filters applied at the top of the page.

There are two parts to the report:

  • A series of tiles for choosing the primary metric to compare.

  • A chart that lets you view the primary metric and compare it to another one of your choice.

When you click a tile, the associated metric is applied to the comparative line chart in the second part of this report. The following example shows the chart after you click the Views tile.

Tabular reports

You can sort and filter tables to represent the data you need, and you can drill down into a report on a particular item by clicking its row in the table.

Tabular reports include the following options for configuring and navigating the available data:

  • To sort a table, hover your mouse over a column name, then click the up or down arrow if available.

  • To view the next or previous page of results, use the navigation arrows underneath the table.

  • To change the number of items shown per page, use the drop-down list underneath the table.

Donut and pie charts

A donut or pie chart represents the percentages that different categories contribute to the overall performance of an item or metric. For example, on the Site performance page, both Domain performance by visits and Domain performance by countries are donut charts.

To view details of a pie slice, hover your mouse over the slice.

Line charts

Funnel reports

Geo reports
